HEEEEYYY HOOOOOOO and Bird Scheme.

Okee dokee cowboys (and cowgirls), just dropping a tiddly to say 'what's goin on' and to let all the locals know that I'll be playing at Lydia's on the 31st @ 10. You have been forewarned. It was birthday last Tuesday so hooray for me. Also, upon special request, the word of the day is Besmirched. For proper comprehension, so we can take full advantage of this vocab gem, we must break down the Latin roots, Besmir and Ched. If you recall, in Roman history, Besmir was a famous businessman and spokesperson for the common people of lower/middle class Rome. At the height of his popularity, a jealous yet foolish statesman named Ched began a competitive feud for popularity in their region. Ched is almost solitarily known for his openly slanderous attacks on Besmir's reputation. On numerous occasions he would try to ruin and cause disruptions at Besmirs rallies. At one important speaking, Ched went so far as to dump rotten vegetable juice from a rooftop onto Besmir down below. This enraged Besmir so much, that he stormed off leaving his speech unconcluded and audience disappointed. This is why we now use the word BESMIRCHED to represent a spoiled or 'stained' reputation. In our English language we have extended our ability to use this vocal imagery by adding our common suffixes such as Besmircher or Besmirchment, or even the short form, Besmirch. Some anagrams for Besmirched are Meshed Crib and Bird Scheme.

postscript: is you have any "vocab gems", use one in a sentence as a comment.

  • Will our young Rylan ever learn or will he jettison his life on young women and music?

Some will never know, but one thing we will know is that he will think deeply on these words!

  • Youre welcome Alison and thanks Kristin and Jen. I would thank the anonymous commenters unfortunately they are too afraid to leave a name. Now as much as I like anonymous comments, because this blog occasionally has mature themes, I would appreciate it if comments were restricted to people over the age of 14. I may have thought on those words but because there is no name they will surely be forgotten by the time I am done writing this response. And which Jessica has the same birthday as me? Do we know each other?
